Longskerries is located 8 miles from St Andrews, the Home of Golf.  Set in large garden grounds, with stunning views of Crail harbour and the sea, Longskerries is a peaceful and comfortable base from which to explore St Andrews, the kingdom of Fife and the east coast of Scotland.

This warm and welcoming home is situated in the small village of Crail.  The village is conveniently located close to St Andrews and all the fishing villages of the picturesque East Neuk. Your hosts, Richard and Judith, will make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible and will be pleased to help with any questions you may have.


 


Accommodation

Longskerries can accommodate up to 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms.

 

The master bedroom has a double bed.

The second bedroom has 2 single beds

A spacious and comfortable lounge is equipped with a digital television, DVD and
CD player.

There is one bathroom with a bath and shower.

The kitchen and dining room is equipped with everything you should need - including a dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and fridge/freezer.

There is a basement area for storage and it is equipped with a barbecue,
clothes washer and dryer. Iron and ironing board are also available.

It should be noted that the cottage is about 300 years old and although mainly brought
up to date, some of the doorways will challenge those above 6 feet tall!

There is a fairly large garden and grassed area.  Families with small children should be
aware that the cottage is situated close to the sea cliff protected only by a small wall.

Tariff

Lets are Saturday to Saturday

A 1/3 deposit is required on booking; the balance is due 28 days before arrival.  In the event of cancelation less than 28 days before rental, monies paid (less a 20% administration fee) can only be refunded if we are able to relet that week. Prior to 28 days a full refund is available less 20% administration fee.

In keeping with Scottish Law, this is a totally non-smoking house.                              Pets are welcome.

Wireless Broadband Internet access is available for those bringing a laptop.             Parking is available for 1 car on the property.

Our Area

Crail is a popular tourist fishing village in pleasant countryside with fabulous coastal walks on the doorstep.  It also has two excellent golf courses, beachies and cycling available.

St Andrews is the main town of North East Fife - a blend of medieval, Victorian and Edwardian streets and notable for being the Home of Golf - the main attraction for many. St Andrews has has many other attractions and is a town to explore along its streets, wynds and lanes. In St Andrews you will find the oldest Scottish University, the castle, cathedral, sandy beaches, parks and gardens, coffee shops and restaurants to name but a few.

Nearby the other fishing villages of Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie offer a delightful experience of Scottish fishing life waiting to be discovered.
